BFA Graduation Project: on interacting with technology
Gloves to keep your hands in perfect texting position!
Why does all of our portable technology come with its own new and different cord?
Other takes on portability and reliance on cords. Yup, that's a bone.
Does the very personal yet anonymous nature of the internet make you feel safe or exposed or both? (That's actually the model's face reflected back at her, not the other model's blurry features.)
It's a VERY thin film...
I got very abstract here, but I was thinking about how people used to communicate across crowded rooms with signals on a lacy fan. We text now. Shhh, don't tell the guy next to you but he's hot!
The fan/phone open.
Technology can be a third eye of sorts but can also blind you so you run into lamp posts and miss what happened with that guy on the bike.
More undergraduate work
"Make a perfect one inch cube, then cut apart your glorious achievement and make a ring out of it." The lessons I learned in precision and in letting go still haunt me.
My favorite pair of filigree hoop earrings ever.
All silver 3D filigree and granualation necklace. Each link was made by hand and all of it was to beautify the iron bar in the center.
A really fun piece of 3D filigree and peridot.
Experiments in mixing metal and ivory. What can they do to each other?
A working puzzle box! This was a doozie!
Silver leaf ring with Sobe bottle caps turned into little gemstones.
Salt & pepper shakers
My first necklace, and still one of my favorites. (Even if I have no idea whose neck this was...)
Just challenging myself to wire LEDs inside bone cases. The light switch on the front is about a quarter inch long.. so cute! lol
