A little more about me...On somewhat of a whim, I began a degree in Jewelry and Metalwork at the University of Georgia, thinking that it would make a fun skill to learn alongside a "real" degree. By the end of the first class, I knew jewelry was in my bones and it couldn't be just a hobby. So, here I am, making jewelry that I can only describe as "eclectic but elegant."
My work is based on the ancient technique of scrimshaw, the innate beauty of fossil ivories, architecture, anthropology, myth, random plant life, and a healthy sense of curiosity. My goal is to make unique, timeless jewelry that you will love wearing and share with your friends and family. I use a wide variety of gemstones, metals, and materials, and I try to be eco-friendly where I can. I reuse my scrap metals, buy other makers' scraps of fossil ivory (i.e., legal and non-animal-harming) from good sources, and many other things to reduce my footprint. |
